Global Investor Masterclass: boosting super fund returns

12 July, 2017

Intercontinental Hotel, Sydney, Australia

BNP Paribas Securities Services is excited to be a sponsor at the Global Investor Masterclass.

Designed entirely for the needs of beneficial owners, including Super funds and asset managers, a theme throughout the Australia Masterclass will be the ways in which beneficial owners can maximise revenues while controlling risk.

The event starts with a discussion between leading super funds, highlighting best practice for managing lending programmes. The speakers will consider how indemnification, programme customisation and risk monitoring can reduce risk, as well as how to effectively engage with stakeholders.

Regulation is the major force shaping securities lending; Basel III is putting pressure on prime brokers’ balance sheets, indemnification has become more expensive for agent lenders, derivatives trades increasingly need to be collateralised and trades will need to be reported to regulators. The challenge is to manage this all efficiently and limit the drag on revenues.

The event will bring together beneficial owners with experts in the industry that can provide an international perspective, including regulatory updates and emerging opportunities for lending. The day will finish with a forward-looking panel on how fintech is set to reshape securities lending.

We look forward to seeing you there!
